  • Condition: As is typical with many of the antique Chinese pieces, where applicable some of the hardware may have been replaced. There is general wear, and may be some shrinkage and age cracks that is typical for a piece this old, especially considering the climate difference. We feel these flaws add to the character of the piece and are preferable to replacement during restoration, Sometimes it is necessary to repair or replace certain components of the furniture, but that is typically done with antique wood. We try to be as clear as possible in the photos attached, however we are limited in the number of photos we can include, so it may not be possible to show every detail.     This vintage black lacquer table has a flush panel top with a double rounded stepped down edge detail.
    The four legs are also rounded and the stretcher that connect on all sides of the table, wrapping around the outside of the legs, also has a rounded front edge. These rounded details have some similarities to what is sometimes referred to as bamboo style.
    The paneled ends have cutout designs above and below the stretcher. Note that the carvings on one end have some shrinkage cracks, as seen in the photos.
